TEDxUppsalaUniversity recruit two times a year (but we can be convinced to recruit outside of these times too). The first time is in February when we recruit for the main core of the organisation and then the second is in August. When the event take place the team normally consist of ~15 people + 10 volunteers.

If you want to be part of the TEDxUppsalaUniversity team we’re curious about you and would like to see if we’re a match. However, it is important that you are aware of some things:

<3 We work hard

You will be expected to think until you come up with those unconventional solutions that fit the budget and you will be expected to get your hands dirty. However: we deeply believe that if working with TEDxUppsalaUniversity is not fun we’re doing it wrong.

<3 You will be expected to share your opinion and listen to others

To find the best solution we depend on access to a great variaty of perspectives and experiences. By sharing and listening we leverage the diversity of our team and thus avoid making unnecessary mistakes.

<3 You’ll be expected to learn

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t done anything like this before. There are structures in place and we will help each other. What matters is how you react when you’re faced with a problem you haven’t seen before. In 2016 when the restaurant was late with the food that year’s Event Coordinator got in the kitchen himself and started peeling avocado. What would you have done? Be humble, but don’t be afraid!
